The Music Icon Plays a Twisted Persona of Herself in Satirical Film Preview
Charli XCX is preparing for a substantial big screen appearance in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, she embodies what she describes as a twisted version of herself.
It’s the truest representation of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, Charli commented.
She further explained in a discussion: This isn’t a concert film, however the inspiration stemmed from the expectation to create one.
A Glimpse into The Film
The debut trailer, unveiled on recently, blends authentic footage from Charli’s Sweat tour with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.
The film is overseen and co-authored by the director, who revealed that the narrative revolves around a world where the artist opted for alternate decisions in the promotion of her hugely successful record Brat.

A Busy Film Calendar
The film is only one of numerous future screen roles for the musician, who recently featured in three cinematic festival entries in the current year.

She recently agreed to star in the actress’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.

Musical Contributions
The month of February will also bring the release of the filmmaker’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase original songs from the singer.
She will also provide music for the film Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch in the coming year.
The film will be released on the 30th of January.
