2K Games has appointed Ben Brinkman from Respawn Entertainment to direct the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the anticipated third-person roguelike extraction-shooter known as Project Ethos.

Through your commitment and flexibility, especially over the last year, you continue to prove that.

The gamer responses from last autumn’s the game playtest was enlightening. It confirmed the promise of a action-packed game but made clear we still had work to do. It revealed the requirement for a sharper brand.

It’s been inspiring to see how far you’ve progressed. You accepted the criticism to consideration and reimagined the title with a revitalized direction - one that’s ready to achieve its ambition to our fans.

Our confidence in Project ETHOS increases every day. To further the incredible advancement you’ve made, It is a pleasure to welcome Ben Brinkman as the incoming Director of 31st Union. After several months of conversations, Ben starts with us on next week.

Background of the New Leader

Brinkman currently serves in the position of senior developer and production lead at the renowned studio for their flagship title. He earlier was employed at major gaming companies in diverse development positions on the Call of Duty games, and, earlier in his career, had stints at 2K and Electronic Arts.

Game Information and Vision

Project Ethos was announced in last year together with a early access event. Initially, 31st Union portrayed the title as a "free-to-play, third-person perspective roguelike hero shooter and an innovative evolution on the style."
